Well, in building my army I've found little ways to improve on a figure that I've always been hesitant to rework because of its layers of complexity. But here in the last few weeks I have kinda slid into a process that allows me to get a mulligan every time I do one.
Here in version IV we have added the padding to the backs of the fists (not pictured), added more screen/anotomically accurate ab muscles, NEW 1 point neck and cape*, and the added BATWING FEATURE**. *The neck is for the first time is cast as its own free piece as is the cape but this go round instead of stringing the cape through the body it is attached there in the now empty shoulders just before the neck/cowl is glued in place. This allows for a cleaner placement and is more showy of the cowl scallops all around the base. **The cape is set up on the same pattern as before but this time we added the BATWING feature for that added effect. Though just a pilot attempt it was awesome to see it come together. The frame is just some simple 1mm aluminum piping wrapped in double sided tape and then handles are roughed out on the ends. They are concealed when the figure is stood up but then you can pop them in his hands and Voila!!! "Where does he get those wonderful toys?" ![]() |
