Nothing too drastic but makes ALL the difference. Please...I urge you ALL to PULL OFF THE SHOULDER PADS AND SHAVE OFF THOSE LITTLE BLOCKS! You can glue the pads right back on while retaining decent articulation...and it makes Batman look like less of a freakin' LINEBACKER. I took it one step further. Not only did I shave off those blocks, but I carved out and thinned the pads themselves. Also shaved down the shoulders themselves BEYOND the blocks. Then attached two small rubber straps (made from bike innertube rubber) to the pads. Slipped the pads back up Bats' arms and viola! Not only do the pads stay perfectly in place (flush with his arms where they SHOULD be) but they flex beautifully when the arms are raised giving BETTER articulation than before any alteration. The neck...dear god the neck. If any of you out there have a Batpod you know what I'm talking about. Popped the head off and carved a small gap in the back of the neck wide enough for the head peg to fit in. Now the peg can be bent all the way backward so he can look (oh, I don't know)...UP! If done properly, the carved gap isn't visible AT ALL. "Say there...this front tire needs some Armor All" -Original Batman while riding the Batpod. "Oh look! Obstacles to NOT run into!" Custom Batman while riding the Batpod. Also did away with that tongue depressor Mattel calls a "cape" and made a screen accurate one referencing the Hot Toys cape and several screen caps from the film. (Also altered the Pod slightly. Tomorrow I'll post my PodMods and cape stuff) ![]() |
