Greetings Realmers! Here today to join the ranks of YJI Nightwing customs!

Well, this started out as a "black ops" version of Nightwing, but when I saw the first episode of YJI, I immediately decided that i would change direction. And here it is WEEKS later I have finally made enough time to finish up. Gotta say, i LOVE this version of Nightwing!

Recipe:

Base: Nightwing DCUC
Head: ML Ronin alternate head
Sholder Pads: Movie Masters Batman Dark Knight
Belt: Final Fantasy Cloud Strife; pouches are from various Batman figures
Holster: Cut from a cape from my fodder bin
Batons: Electrical wire

Sculpted the gauntlets and boots down to look like the ones depicted in the show. Added small "plates" on the gloves. Rigged the belt and holster (the strap from the belt that goes to the holster is only attached at the ends so that it moves and bends when the leg moves). I decided to make the batons non-removable because the scale that looks right when on his leg doesn't look right when in his hands, so they are stationary. The pouch on his left leg was from when this was to be a black ops outfit, but I liked the look of it still, so I left it in place. The bird on his chest was cut from styrene and painted in metallic to go along with the "armored" look i feel this outfit has. A quick head swap for the head of a Ronin figure (I went with it because it resembles the style of the YJI look, but looks more "realistic" so that it will still fit in with a DCUC collection. Some acrylic paint and seal, and voila! Young Justice Nightwing!

I've already seen 3 FANTASTIC customs of this incarnation of Nightwing, hope mine ranks fairly close.

Thanks for looking, and as always, any critique is welcome!

this is an awesome figure, I just started trying to do my own and will be trying one of these as he is one of my favorite characters. can you tell me what you use to seal him? I've tried testors but it is way to glossy and im looking for something that doesn't affect they way my characters look after painting. thanks and again awesome custom.

Thanks everyone! I didn't mention it in my recipe, but I did sculpt down the face to make it look somewhat youthful, as it originally did not. Glad to find out it worked out!

I have to echo the sentiment of a good head selection and the shoulder pads!
