This Leatherhead is more what I had hoped for, when the TMNT toys originally hit the shelf. The base figure is JLU Doomsday with a pile of sculpty on top. Leatherheads mouth opens and closes for massive turtle crushing power. The neck and tail, however, have no articulation. This is the result of catastrophic articulation failure; which I do not care to fully articulate at this time. larger feet, arms, etc. I shaped the tail to be sort of hooked. This allows for hitting or crappling his foe with it. His 'over the top' cajun accent was removed, as I never cared for it. An Arnold / Batman accent was used instead. It is painted in a combination of cartoon and comic colors. I remain very pleased with this figures presence in my collection. Leatherhead now towers over his naturally smaller adversaries. He even looks good next to Krang, in his Android body. It is increadibly durable and heavy from sculpty. (It has been kid tested for days, as a barbie eating good guy) I will touch it up, add the accesaries, and display it eventually. If I get better, I may give this one another swing in the future. Lookout Hulk and Savage Dragon, there is another 'Big Green' action hero among us. ![]() |
