CAPCOM'S "Saturday Night Slam Masters" is one of my favorite arcade wrestling titles, and on the SNES as well. My two favorite characters from this game are El Stingray and game boss, The Scorpion. I remember playing this with a friend, and having some of the most epic battles with these two. I've always wanted to do some wrestling figures, but since Mattel and Jakks do a great job of making classic and current figures for WWE and TNA, I knew I didn't want to make any real-life characters. My attention turned to videogame characters, and eventually I decided on Saturday Night Slam Masters.
El Stingray - First off, I know he's supposed to be short, but I could not find a wrestling figure I was satisfied with (no, Rey Misterio didn't work) , so I went with the body I had. He's comprised of a body of Super Nova from the "Lucha Libra, USA" line and a modded head of Lizmark, Jr. A note of interest; The El Stingray character, visually is based on real life wrestler Lizmark, so it made sense to use the head.
The Scorpion ("Astro" in Japan) - Scorpion uses a body from a WWE Ruthless Aggression Sabu, modded with a vinyl sash, and the head of a Lucha Libre, USA Tinieblas, Jr. Another note: Scorpion's appearance was based on legendary luchadore Tinieblas (one of the first Mexican wrestlers to tour Japan), so, just like Stingray, using Tinieblas Jr's head was perfect.

Please wait...
you have to do The Great Oni next
I do think that El Stingray should have been in SF4 instead of them coming up with El Fuerte, or at leas specify that El Stingray trained him or something :/
