OK, I've had this one in mind for a long time. I knew the base I wanted to use, had a basic recall of what the character looked like, and I could remember the Thing comic he was in (not that actually issue number) but I could not for the life of me remember his name. In the past 2-3 years I don't know how many times I googled combinations of Thing, Marvel, Swedish, villian, jumper and nothing. I had no idea there were so many Swedish villians out there. Anyway, I finally hit on the right combo (not sure which planets were in alignment) and there he was, Goody Two Shoes. The story was that Thing comes across this bad guy robbing a bank and he tries to stop him. Goody, powered by atomic powered shoes (God I love the 80s) stomps the Thing through the pavement and jumps off. This goes on for most of the rest of the issue until the Thing finally prevails. However this was no ordinary issue, this was the Assistant Editor's month issue. The last few pages were the Thing storming through the Marvel offices looking for the assistant editor who let this issue get printed. The Assistant Editor's version had Goody being about the same size as Thing and kicking his can through the issue. In Thing's "real" version, Goody was a muscular, but smaller villian. And, when Goody "stomped" the Thing, Mr Grimm didn't budge. In the next panel, Thing gives Goody a finger flick, sending Goody out of the top of the panel. End of the conflict, according to the Thing. The base figure is Savage Dragon, minus the fin. Green Stuff for the bibs, shirt, hair, shoes (not atomic powered), and socks. Tamiya and Testors for the paints. He is the variant because he is the smaller version that was only in the comic for 2 panels. Hope you like him. ![]() |
