Base Figure:Clone Wars Pre Vizsla

This is Bardan Jusik, from the Republic Commando novel series by Karen Traviss. I finished this figure about a week ago. I really liked the way it turned out. I had an extra Stormtrooper laying around and thought it would add a nice touch. I didn't run into many challenges with this figure, as it was mostly a repaint. I did add some sculpting to make his beard and hairline in the back.

Recipe:

Body/Helmet/Jetpack: Clone Wars Pre Vizsla
Vest: Prince of Persia Prince Dastan
Hood: Han Solo

I'm ashamed of myself that I missed this figure-I love the Republic Commando series! My eventual big project is to put together my Republic Commando armor together to troop in!

I love what you did with Bard'ika here, he looks perfect! I like your style with your Star Wars figures, any plans to do any female Mandalorians such as Parja or Mirta Gev (even if she comes along maaaany years later)?

Yeah, I read that whoever handles the novels of the Star Wars EU didn't re-up her contract or something and that she left to do gears of war novels and other projects. Sucks, she created a whole subuniverse in the SW world, of Mando culture and language(with the help of an actual linguist, I've read) I hate when the suits get in the way of the creative side of production. I also hate how the EU continuity gets thrown out every time Lucas has a new idea, like in the clone wars series, he changed the back story of General Grievous to be a wannabe Jedi who chose to become a cyborg, when the EU already had a good origin for him. Makes me wonder why bother having the EU as cannon at all?

Especially with Disney taking over. Who knows what changes are gonna happen now? I'm hoping for positive changes, but I'm skeptical. And to quote Yoda, "Still, the future of all Jedi uncertain is. Move forward cautiously we must."

Bardika, awesome! Loved those novels and I have a shelf of the major characters, customs and released figs like mij galamer acting as a double of Kal skirata(with a dif. head) as their armors are the same color. That's a damn cool Bardika, nice work!

Thanks man! I plan on making the rest of the crew. Unfortunately I need to get my hands on some more mandalorians or Fett base figures. I really wish they would continue the series because it left with me wondering what happens next. I actually emailed Karen Traviss and she said no plans on continuing the story line. Meh....

Another great custom. Those Prince of Persia figures really have a lot of useful fodder, wish I had picked up more when they went on clearance.

Now, I want to see you make an older head for him and a Venku/Kad'ika.
