In the not too distant future, an adult Donatello, returning home from one of his adventures, was stunned to find a strange, glowing, pink crystal in the sewers. As he reached for it, an image of the Sorceress flashed within his mind and, in a millisecond, understood the importance of his discovery, as well as exactly what he needed to do. He rushed back to his underground home and began working on a teleportation device that would utilize this luminous crystal. All the schematics were somehow vivid in his mind. Having already successfully separated his half-shell some years before, he decided to built the teleportation device within the shell itself. Being that his brothers were not around to join him on his journey, he briefly informed Splinter of the urgency and importance of the revelation he had earlier. With only his trusty bo, his magnifying goggles and a couple of pics of his brothers (stored in his half-shell), he was ready for his new adventure. Splinter wished him well and Donatello activated the teleportation device in his half-shell using a newly built wristband. In an instant, he found himself in a strange land knowing only that he needed to find a warrior/engineer known as Duncan. Little did he know that he would ultimately play a key role in assisting Man-At-Arms create a machine capable of tearing down an impenetrable barrier surrounding Castle Grayskull, magically spawned from the combined evil forces of Skeletor and Hordak. Hi Realmers! :) Donatello was always my favorite Turtle. It was fun to create a figure of Don that I can display along with my other MOTUC figures. This was also my most ambitious custom yet as it required a lot of hours of sculpting. -The head, hands, the toes of his feet and the half-shell are from random Playmates TMNT figures. -The body is mostly a MOTUC Skeletor figure. The forearms are from a Count Marzo MOTUC figure. -The lower part of his legs and feet are from a MOTUC Merman figure which I shaved down and then sculpted over using Aves Apoxie. -I sculpted the chest piece, connecting-side pieces and back-piece using Aves Apoxie. I added some magnets to both the back-piece and the half-shell so that it can easily be removed and snapped back on. -The bo is simply a wooden chopstick which I varnished using a light brown paint. -His goggles were tweaked so that it would snugly fit on his head. They can be stored in his half-shell, along with 2 photos of his brothers, which he always carries around. :) By the way, I have to give mad props to UMINGA and qBATMANp for their TMNT artwork, which I printed to create the photos. I googled TMNT Images and these were the best ones I could find. Look 'em up at deviantart. -I sculpted the inner part of the half-shell and then added some random fodder pieces, translucent plastic bracelet, a piece of a computer memory stick and a couple of pieces of a broken, pink bracelet bead (the crystal from Eternia) to act as his internal teleportation device. -I then gave the entire turtle a complete paint job, from head to toes. Completed May 2012. Thank you so much for looking. I hope you enjoy the pics. :) ![]() |

I'm glad you liked Donatello.
CONGRATULATIONS, once again, Customfig!
Dude, I'm just honored to rank amongst artist like yourself and Customfig...I sincerely knew it was going to come down between both of your masterpieces.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, your work truly inspires me to do better, brother.
I'm so happy that you enjoyed it, dude!
I'm so stoked that you enjoyed Donnie! I tried my best to give Donatello some 'life' through the pictures.
Thank you so much, my friend
