this took a lot of time, i wanted to finish this on Halloween but i never finish my customs on time, so this contest was the perfect push for me to finish my work.

ok, so i wanted a boiler room for my Freddy, it's a NECA figure so the diorama is kinda huge. I started only with the wood, i cut the wood with a dremel to give it that "broken" look and during the initial part of the work i thought it was a good idea to ad some pipes, they are PVC pipes (the blue ones for water) that i painted trying to get a Rust look, to floor was painted with many coats of grey (acrylic paint) and the outside walls are painted with red/green stripes, anyone who has seen one of these movies knows that usually in the dreams of the victims this is a common pattern so i wanted that in my custom, i also added the "logo" of the movie on the left wall.

now the boiler, it was a hell to make and the hardest part of the diorama, at first i wanted to make everything with rivets but it didn't look good so a tried to make "false" rivets, and it took a looong time, i had to make the holes first then put the head of a nail glued onto the tin, sounds easy but takes a lot of time because i could make like three of them at a time and then have to wait till the glue dried, the door (which can be opened) doesn't have glue, it's all made with bolts, then i painted the whole thing an added some blood coming out of the boiler. when everything was mounted i added hot glue on the pipes to make leakages and these where painted with black and have a coat of gloss varnish, the last thing i made was adding a mirror on the right wall because i thought it was too empty.

EDIT: i forgot some things, like that i had to use muriatic acid on the tin after the boiler was complete (that's the only way to paint the tin without the paint coming off) while doing that my nose almost fell from my face, that thing is just too strong!
also i changed the shape of the pipes with a lighter and added "damage" to them with the dremel, also while painting i added salt on them to give the effect of corrosion, sadly some of this stuff can't be clearly seen in the pictures.changed the second picture.
* some pictures where taken with smoke from a tobacco pipe, had to smoke a lot while taking those pictures
