Okay, I made this one by request of a friend. It's a Warhammer 40k Chaos Space Marine with a power sword and a twin bolter. Just about everything you see on this figure has been hand-sculpted, minus the base figure underneath all that Aves Apoxie.

Some recipes:

Power Pack (on back): Cut out of toy package cardboard and glued together (hollow) to form a base to sculpt around. This helps it not tip the figure over from excess weight and it saves me on materials. The rest is sculpt and four rubber tubes.

Weapons: They are both pretty much popsicle sticks sculpted over with apoxie.

Shoulder Armor: These were difficult for me to do. They are fixed to the biceps, but they pivot (tightly I might add) on a bamboo skewer so they are able to tilt up and down. This allows the arms underneath to move laterally away from the hips as well as forward and backward pretty freely. The bamboo skewer inside is actually wedged into holes drilled into popsicle sticks embedded into the pauldrons themsevles, which allows for wood-on-wood friction and a very snug fit that doesn't wobble. The skewer itself is what is fixed to the bicep. It's probably difficult to get an image of what I'm describing, but maybe someone does. I just thought I should share my recipe for this in case someone was wondering how the heck to get huge shoulder armor on a figure to not impair articulation (like I was for months).

Paint: Citadel, Testors, the usual.

More pictures can be found on my deviantart. Same name on there, minus the dot between H and D.

Thanks to everyone! I'm glad you all enjoy it. I hope to post more 40k stuff soon. Working on an Ork, Imperial Guardsman, and a Devastator Marine with a heavy bolter.
