Man, i love the new bucky body. I think just having a new buck out of that size is inspiring. So i bought a bunch of them, and have been slowly making my way through them. I just finished this one after Phin sent me a box of fodder that had the headless body of an astonishing cyclops in it. That got me thinking about making ole' Mr. Summers, since i feel like i haven't shown him much respect. His Bianchi costume doesn't have an official figure, so i went with now, which had the added benefit of completing the trio of my three favorite Bianchi designs (colossus, wolverine, and now cyclops). The build is pretty perfect for Cyke, with the exception of height. I feel like its a little short, but its not terribly noticeable. His hands are from Astonishing Cyke, legs from knees down from that 2-pack movie Cyclops, and the rest is Bucky with sculpt. I agonized for awhile whether to just paint his costume lines on or to use fishing line, but in the end, the decision was made for me by the gap between his shoulder and the torso being too small to allow any real movement if i used fishing line, so they're just painted on, which is kind of a bummer, but whatever. Enjoy!

You are really showing the diverse uses of that the Bucky Cap base. And everyone of them looks amazing. Love the detailing on the Cyke's costume.

thanks man. I do wish the body was a little taller, but for the most part Hasbro bodies skew towards the the smaller size, so at least he'll fit with most newer figures.

thanks bush! Yeah, I've gotten really lucky finding these figures, but its slowing down. I don't think I've seen a restock since the weekend before last.

What really gets me is that wherever I go no one seems to no when they'll restock. The response I get is kinda like....

thats not that really that weird though. I worked at a TRU for a while when back in the day, and we didn't ever really know when we were getting a shipment of something until it was already on its way. Maybe the managers did, but not the clerks.

Great figure. When you did the lines/grooves on the wrist braces and shin guards, did you sculpt the putty, apply it, and then wait a while before sculpting the lines in? I was unsure if that is done after the epoxy starts to harden or when originally applied. thanks

thanks dude. I get in a hurry when I'm working with sculpt, so I just applied it, cut it to shape, then sculpted the lines in immediately. Waiting a little bit would be the smarter thing to do, though that does cut down on the time you'll have to correct any screw ups.

I'm really blown away by it. As far as bodies meant for reuse, I dare say its better than any of the ones TB ever made, though to be fair, Hasbro has the benefit of making figures now instead of between 5 and 10 years ago.

Edit: scratch that, the FO Sabretooth body was amazing.

Although you couldn't do the piping seams with line, it instead turned into a display of really clean line work! Nice going, and way to flex on how useful that bucky cap figure is for a base!

Thanks man. I may have mislead you. I didn't use the astonishing cyclops head, I used the bucky head. Ground the wings off and sculpted the visor on.
