The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is an award-winning crime novel by Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larsson, which was later made into a trilogy of movies. It deals with the fascination of serial killers and the sexual violence towards women. Lisbeth Salander was once a victim herself, but decided to regain full control of her life by assisting in the investigation and capture of a mysterious, sadistic killer.
Made from a Tomb Raider Lara Croft, the figure was resculpted to show how Lisbeth looked during her court scene. Being tried for the attempted murder of her own father, she appeared in court fully mohawked and punked out in spikes, straps and ready to bite into those who would have her incarcerated. Sculpted her spiked collar and made her back suspenders removable to show the painted tattoo.
As a child she had doused petrol over her father and lit him aflame. It was done in revenge for him beating her mother to an inch of her life. Her second attempt was later in life when she used a hatchet on his head. And still, he managed to survive. Got the gas-can and hatchet from a SinCity Marv, and added the snub nose to get the job done.
At his death in November 2004, the author Larsson, left three unpublished novels that make up the trilogy. They became posthumous best-sellers in several European countries as well as in the United States. Larsson had witnessed the gang rape of a young girl when he was 15. He never forgave himself for failing to help the girl, whose name was Lisbeth – like the young heroine of his books, herself a rape victim. The young girl's ordeal became the inspiration for these novels.

Terrific, and unique. Nothing else like it out there. And wasn't the most poignant scene of the entire trilogy at the very end when she forces herself to say a simple "Thank you" to the guy who'd helped her. Amazing.
