Time to update my second entry in the Articulation Junkies contest. Once again, thanks to everyone who voted for my custom Marvel Select Black Widow II.

I felt the basic rules of this contest were a tad too broad (who DOESN'T make super-poseable figures these days?), so I thought I'd narrow the rules for myself, by submitting only figures that started life with extremely limited articulation before I altered them.

Diamond Select has produced some BEAUTIFUL figures with its Marvel Select line, but some, particularly the early releases, are substantially limited in the joint department. Of note is their Black Widow II figure. Clearly meant solely for display, this toy had no joints below the waist. I sought to remedy this situation. Using the lower half of a LCBH Judge Death (chosen for the slender limbs and leathery, wrinkled texture of his costume), I replaced Ms. Belova's immobile legs.

Black Widow now has double her POA, from a mere 13, to now possessing 25 joints:

Pelvis rotate x2
Hip hinge x2
Thigh rotate x2
Upper knee hinge x2
Lower knee hinge x2

Stuck in one place no longer, now she can sneak and crouch and run and fight like a super sexy secret Soviet psycho assassin should! Someday, I hope to make a similar mod to the MS White Queen.
