Always wanted a more comic accurate Thanos, the MS is alright, but a bit fat for my liking. So I went about making Thanos the way I wanted and added acrylic jewels for the Infinity Gauntlet. I used the Red Hulk as the base and used parts from the MS figure and sculpted the other details.
thanks, really honored you like this one. I always imaged thanos as a bit more fit that the MS version. I do have a few pieces that are still yet to go with him, but will have to tackle those later.
You put far more detail into yours I love the way his gauntlets and boots turned out, but it doesn't stop there you put etching into the shorts, and even carried through all that detail into his hood. I think you created a superior Thanos in that you weren't afraid to put in the additional work to bring him to life, its easy to stop on a custom once it looks close enough to where you want it to be, but to go the extra mile and put in all the little things that makes it stand out is what separates the hobby customizes and the pros. You certainly went he extra mile with this custom!
again, thanks for the awesome comment and your others, they truly are humbling and an honor, so thanks. thanos is one of my favorite characters and the MS version just looked too fat and not like the comic version, so that is what I was shooting for. also had to do a gauntlet that looked like it had jewels not just painted parts. thanks again and hope you like my other version, he will be even bigger.
thank you so much, that is such an honor to hear. he is my favorite villian and thanks for being a fan. I have and always will be a fan and loyal to the boskoes name. thanks again.
wanted to thank everyone in the contest, loved all the customizers/customs and honored to have been included in this contest with all the other excellent contestants. truly means a lot to compete with each of you, since I consider everyone such excellent competition.
that means a lot, since I feel painting is not my strongest suit. but have to say with your work and painting I wish I could do what you do. that is what is great, we each inspire each other, that is what makes the site so great. I am honored to hear that.
I seriously did NOT catch that this was yours! OF COURSE it's in step with your usual themes, but I took you as more of the Ron Lim/George Perez school Thanos. Bravo to the Starlin homage
wow thanks, means a lot. I really love all of those artists and with the body it just felt right to go more with thanos's quest look. one of my definitive looks for him. I do have more of a ron lim inspired version I am working on, but could not find the parts. hopefully soon. thanks again truly honored to hear that.
yep, sorry I couldn't give you credit in the description, it would have given me away. but can't that you enough for your help, you helped me create one of my pet projects, means a lot.
I am beyond words, there is not a better compliment that I could receive. truly honored and humbled to hear you say that. anyone even mentioning owning a custom of mine truly means a lot.
Awesome figure! Smooth paint apps! Clean lines and a perfect base choice! Where are all these Rulk BAF coming from? I smell some hoarding goin on in this contest. LOL
man that is such an honor to hear that, I really wanted to represent the character better than what the MS version was. I have happened to collect a few of the hulks and could not pass up making a few characters better than they were made, but you won't see me on hoarders, I hope. LOL

I had a feeling this custom was yours when I saw the gauntlet. Are those rhinestones the ones that I think they are?
Can't wait for your next work of art, CFC.
Love the jewels on his gauntlet.
