Hey!

I'll admit it-- I know nothing about this character, other than she's Canadian and that this apparently isn't her most well-known costume. I found some pics of her on the web and thought she looked liked she'd be fun to make... She sort of was.

Aurora's made from a DCUC Superwoman from the Crime Syndicate box set. I removed the cape and did a lot of minor surface work to get rid of all the excess details and blended the hands of the infamous X3 Jean Grey figure into her forearms. The little mini-straps on the forearms are cut rubber bands. I drilled a small hole in the figure's back to accommodate a ML flight stand, since apparently Aurora flies around a lot. After that I painted the whole figure by hand, including the maple leaf, which... wasn't easy.

While this isn't my favorite custom I've done, it was certainly a good exercise in precision painting, which is good. What do you all think?
