Batgirl - 1967 Batman TV Show Style (DC Universe) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:36900
Name:Batgirl - 1967 Batman TV Show Style
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:DC Universe
Creator:CrimsonFlush
Date Added:February 18, 2012
Base Figure:Batgirl Legacy Series
Height:5.50 inches
The paint job is reminiscent of the 1967 Batgirl from the Batman TV series of that year. I didn't like the face that came with the Batgirl Legacy figure, it looked fish-eyed and you could barely see the pink lipstick so I repainted the eyes green and gave her some red lipstick. This is the 1st action figure I’ve done and I tried to pop open the chest to sand down the shoulder parts, but that didn’t work out to well and there is some scaring near her ribs. I wasn't pleased with the way the paint on the cape turned out, I would probably just paint it one color if I had to do over.

Thanks everyone for all the comments, it's much appreciated. I think I will do another one and try to get a darker pearl purple.

she looks great, that shiny purple outfit against the flat purple gloves and boots looks awesome.

Ugh... Now I have to make one. My to-do list keeps getting bigger and bigger... Seriously, though, great job! I love it. It's a great mixture of the classic TV show look with modern day comic sensibilities.

hey! your paints are great, and fixing eyes is always hard. you did great. I understand the damaged ribs, been there. have to be gentle when you crack them open. that damage is usually from forcing your tool in too far (that didn't sound right). worst case, you get some aves apoxie sculpt and repair the damage. never settle if you're not happy. you can always fix it.
