Mac Gargan Venom (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:3676
Name:Mac Gargan Venom
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:TPCustomStudio
Date Added:August 21, 2007
Base Figure:Upper Torso - LCBH Savage Dragon. Lower Torso - ML FaceOff Punisher
Height:6.00 inches
Ever since I saw this venom, I said this would make a awesome figure. I took a LCBH Savage Dragon and removed his upper half. I resculpted the head and added longer fingernails. I then removed the lower half of a extra ML Faceoff Punisher. I resculpted larger muscles and pointy feet. Basic paint of citadel chaos black and a drybrush of liche purple. The front and back symbol was painted after.
Then I thought some people like Venom with his tongue, so I decided to create a removeable one.I then decided after I finished him I would create a base. Took a Marvel Select Black Widow base and superglued actual pieces of concrete to the base. I then sprayed it with Plastikote stone paint and airbrushed black shadows, Added the stop sign and pipe. The water spray is part of the missile accessory from Blackheart from the GR movie line.
I THEN decided Venom needed something to bash some unregistered heroes with, and the bendable I-Beam from a hulk I had would be perfect.

If I didn't see the fingers, I won't recognize Dragon in there.
This is one tough and well done piece of work man. Cheers!

Yeah paint rub was a pain on this one. Only in the shoulders and elbow joints though. the fingers were pretty loose thankfully. Just did about 4 coats at the shoulders and sealed him. As long as you don't twist the crud out of him it should be fine.

Wow... especially considering I saw what you made him from, that's amazing. Very well done. Any chance of you doing a muscle sculpting tutorial at some point?
