first off i gotta throw props to eddie grayce, his incredible version of this character inspired me to try one of my own. i remember reading this guy in "fall of the hulks" and he was a lot of fun to make.

The Cosmic Hulk robot is a by-product of the Cosmos Automation Program designed by Galactus. This program traveled the universe in search of suitable planets for Galactus to consume. It would find a host and compel them to build an artificial life form that would be a cosmically powered servant of Galactus. The Automaton Program found the Mad Thinker, who designed the robot after the Hulk so people would fear it. Once built, the Mad Thinker locked it away since he could not recall why he had made it. It was stored at Olympia until it was stolen by the Intelligencia. The Leader and MODOK reprogrammed it to follow their commands. (abridged version of the origin from comic vine)

hes made from a ml 9 green kirby hulk, i dremeled sections away and re-sculpted the robotic parts first and then the torn skin, then totally repainted.

I used to have the comic when I was kid where the Eternals(Ikaris) was fighting the Cosmic powered Hulk on the cover... inside Zuras used his cosmic power and laid a whooping on him...sending the Hulk jumping off! I had no idea at that time, this was cosmic powered automation and thought it was the real HULK! I'm glad to know it wasn't the real Hulk and only found that out during the Fall of the Hulks, also. Great job on this custom. I been thinking about making one myself! Love yours, scarecrow!

I look forward to seeing your take on him, freddie. everytime I saw the paints on one of your figures it inspires me to try a lil more and add more colors. I wanted to ask you, do you use an airbrush? your shadings so smooth and I never see brushstrokes.

After prepping the figure, I spray it with a primer, then I put the appropriate basecoat of paint down base on what colors I want to end up with. I then drybrush it some ending up with airbrushing some shades on it. I like heavy muscle definitions normally and I then end it up with hand detailing and sealant.

thanks, everytime I added another shade of green drybrush it seemed to get better. I've started the change from testors model master (used for greens) to citadel paints (used for purple and silver) which I seem to have an easier time working with.
