Since I never got any of the Six Million Dollar Man toys from Kenner back in the 70's when I was a kid (yes, I am THAT old), I set about making one of Col. Steve Austin - The Six Million Dollar Man himself (actually, I set about making two, one for myself and one for my older sister Carol, who actually had most of the toys from the Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman collections...we used to fight over them as kids, so this was made as an homage to both our childhoods, and as a 30-something year long apology...LOL).

This one was a fairly easy one to do...relatively speaking, that is. I used a custom cast head from Chan Ada in China, and attached a variety of Hot Toys parts, along with a variety of hand sewn clothes purchased on the net to give him that 1970's look. It took about three to four weeks to put him together (and a bit of sanding of the custom cast neck cavity to make it fit snugly on the Hot Toys neck joint...never want to do one like this again), but once he was fully assembled, TA-DA...Col. Steve Austin - The Six Million Dollar Man!!!!

Please let me know what you guys think of him, and as always, comments are appreciated.

I'd sell you mine, but I'm a bit attached to it...LOL...though, I might be persuaded to give you the link to the guy on the 'bay that made the head for me if asked. I loved the show as well, which is another of the many reasons why I made him. The first season has been released singly in the U.S. so you don't have to buy the big boxset from TimeLife Video, and subsequent sets will be released during this year. I'm glad you liked it. Comments like what I've been receiving for my work on him really make it feel like the work was not in vain. Thanks.

EXCELLENT!! Man....the nostalgia is killing me right now sinc my brother and I used to have one back in the 70's. Ani plans on makin a MASKATRON custom with John Saxon's likeness? And by the way...did you feel urge to make a dilled black hole through his left eye while doing it? (only people our age are gonna get that

Thanks. Glad you liked it. Nostalgia was one of MANY reasons why I made Steve. I have no plans at present to make a MASKATRON that features John Saxon's likeness for the head, although that is indeed a great idea. I did indeed get the urge to make the Bionic Eye hole in Steve's head, but THAT would have involved inserting tiny telescope lenses inside, which I was NOT going to attempt...I also thought about gouging out small sections of his right arm, building removable Bionic Modules that could be inserted into the holes, and then covering over the whole arm with a rubberized roll-up skin, but, again, I was NOT going to attempt that. And, yeah, ONLY people our age would understand that reference.

Thanks. Wish I could take full credit for it, but that goes to the person who cast the head for me who is located in China. Glad you liked it.
