I thought i'd give the Myers clan a rest FOR NOW, and start on something else, namely the ghoulies so instead of using five 12" figures, i had five mini Tmnt lying around, four in a pack and one i got free with a DVD so i got to work on them after watching Ghoulies 2 one night and in between working on my Dr. Loomis custom, these are based off the second installment and the less said about part 4 the better. I don't usually work on this scale and this will probably be my one and only attempt at this scale, i would be lying if i said it was easy for me so i give credit to you guys who work with this scale. Anyway i don't know the actual names of these little misfits so i'll give them basic names, the green one always seemed the leader type to me so i'll start with him.

THE GREEN ONE: Sanded down the wrist, elbow and knee pads and chest then re-sculpted the head and put spikes on the back and gave him an extra finger on each hand and painted him a greeny, yellow using acrylics and used a dab of varnish for that slimey look.

THE RAT ONE: This one seemed like the ugliest of the bunch so again sanded down the elbow and knee-pads, cut the feet off and used putty to lengthen him a bit, re-sculpted the face, gave him a hunched back using putty, cut the turtle hands off and glued another pair of human hands on to give him that E.T. long fingers look and stuck some white synthetic hair on and dabbed with a touch of black to get that grayish look.

THE KAT ONE: Sanded down the turtle pads, cut the feet off and used putty to lengthen him a bit, re-sculpted the face, again cut the turtle hands off and replaced, added synthetic hair and a tail which you can't see.

THE DOG ONE: this one SEEMED like the friendliest of the bunch, sort of crossed between a dog and toad, not sure but anyway i sanded down the pads, re-sculpted the head, added putty to the back and front, cut the turtle hands off and replaced and then i had to use putty and add to the original turtle feet to give him that walking on all fours look.

THE FLYING ONE: Re-sculpted the head, sanded off the pads, cut the arms at the shoulders and glued them outwards, sanded the chest and added leather for the wings, used putty for the tail has this one has no legs.

The base is from one of The Lost boys figures, glued on to a piece of board and added foliage to it and the toilet was made using the top end of a plastic bottle turned upside down with putty around the end or top if you will, the seat and lid is cardboard with putty added to it and the back is just cardboard cut to shape and "no the toilet does not work".

Great work! I feel you've really captured each one's little idiosyncrasies and character. Fun fact: some may recall that the marketing tag line for the 1st Ghoulies movie was "They'll get you in the END!"(implying they will bite your a$$ from inside the toilet). Well at the time of Ghoulies 2's release they came out with the highly original(sarcasm heavily implied) tagline "They'll get you in the end, again!" A certain well respected movie star fresh out of college was working in the marketing department at the schlocky production company responsible for Ghoulies and a host of other low budget exploitative 80's horror films and said actor is supposedly credited with coming up with that little chestnut of a tag line (pro'lly at 4:55pm on a Friday). That actor being none other than Greg Kinnear!

I was terrified with the toilet-dude when I was a kid bro! The "They'll get you in the end" catchphrase made it worse . Thank you for making these wonderful figures. Brings me back to greater times

Thanks, I'm a bit of a retro geek and there's so many characters from the past that haven't been done.
