Originally, I wasn't sure which version to make. His armor in the "New 52" Batwing book differs greatly from his original appearance in Batman INC. I want something that could work either way, so I based it more on his design in Leviathan Strikes, which was like a darker version of his "New 52" look. The bat on the chest is actually sculpted into the armor.

I took one of those armored Alex Ross Batman toys and sanded all the details off of the torso. I completely re-sculpted the armor on the torso and such. The legs are sculpted over some JLA Batman figure also from DC Direct. The head is from a DC Direct Superman. The wings are fully articulated and can actually fold up behind his back.
