Custom #:35597
Name:Death of Superman
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:DC Universe
Creator:spoilerz
Date Added:January 2, 2012
Base Figure:superman figure with attachments
Height:6.00 inches
This is my first custom figure. I've wanted a detailed death of superman figure since the comics first came out. They don't exist so I thought I'd take it in my owns hands. Please give me some feedback on the quality. I would also love to know how to tone down the gloss to match the rest of the figure. If you have ideas on mixing a better skin tone on his arms and wounds to match his head I would greatly appreciate it as well. Thanks, enjoy!

WOW! Nice sculpting! CFC and Ol Jade Jaw hit the best points with the their comments and the dull cote solution--Another thing you can do is add a flattening base to the glossier paints. Not all companies make them, but Tamiya does. Emmbro's suggested technique for skin coloring is one I use as well. Keep it up! -Fitz

Love the sculpted battle damage too bad a certain company uses only painted on battle damage. Great work!

Nice work on this. I remember he had one really swollen, purple cheek. Maybe also add some purple/black to his knuckles from the beating he threw Doomsday. Other than that, what CFC said about the dullcote is my best advice. Keep at em! fun ain't it?

From the picture, the flesh tones appear to match. When I have trouble, I add either a tan or white for adjusting my color. As for getting rid of the gloss, I suggest you pray rhe figure with a matte finish sealer. This works well to help keep things uniform. The figure looks great, and welcome to the realm.

looks great and really spot on, also the group shot rocks. as for the gloss testors dull-cote matte spray will help with toning that down. just be careful on softer plastics, it can make them tacky. hope this helps.
