Action Man was a 1/6 scale (12 inches) toy-line produced in the U.K. that was similar to the old school 70's G.I. Joes. The line has a rich history as it was launched in 1966 and active up until 2006. At this year's NYCC, Hasbro teased that it may resurrect the Action Man franchise.
Between 1996 - 2006 Hasbro used the Action Man moniker sans the military themes it was known for and retroactively conceived the line as a modern adventurer complete with arch nemeses Dr. X and Professor Gangrene. In 2004 they debuted the X robots, Dr. X's main strike force. Their faces are modeled after Dr. X himself. There were three variations of robots released, each in a different color and with a different number on their back. Red had the number 310, black was number 011, and grey is number 154. There were a few other deviations in color (all marked 011), but I'm going to resist the urge to list all of them here, and save your eyeballs some grief. The X robots would explode if you hit them on a green target conveniently located right in the center of their torso, so I guess Dr. X needs to fire Professor Gangrene for engineering these things to be so easily thwarted. Hilariously flawed design fail there lol!
I decided to make one of these for myself while also satiating my current obsession with customizing vintage Joes. His head is from Gnawgahyde, the torso is from Charbroil, the waist and left arm are from Overkill, the right arm is from Cesspool, and the legs are from Cobra Commander. Not sure about the gun or the hose connected to the head/back although I did connect the hose to pieces swiped from a Palisades Micronauts Membros.
Hope you dig it - thanks for looking!

Nice work man, I have one of these I got from my cousin and you scaled him down perfectly!! yeah that design is seriously flawed . I like how you gave a good history of the action man line too. Oh and the gun, it's from a Starwars Jango Fett

Thanks Fitz! Man your avatar cracks me up - I always imagine that it really is classic Kirk sitting behind the keyboard and I always read your posts in Shatner's inimitable vocal delivery lol!
