If you recognize this guy from the vintage toy-line Galaxy Laser Team (sometimes also called Star Patrol), released sometime in the late 70s by the company Tim Mee, then you are either old school or knowledgeable about long dead obscure toy properties. Back then, there were all sorts of generic Star Wars knock-offs (I'm looking at you Starroid Raiders) trying to cash in on the sci fi craze that was going on at that time. It was an awesome time to be a kid who was crazy about toys. Tim Mee specialized in making small non articulated plastic toys like the classic army men, farm animals, circus animals, firemen etc. But they really pushed the envelope and the very boundaries of sanity when they released the Galaxy Laser Team. There were 9 characters that were packaged together in a plastic bag with a cardboard label stapled together at the top. There were "jumbo" 5 inch versions and the standard, smaller 2 inch versions. They were released in four colors: green, black, white, and pink (although I have seen pictures of the jumbo ones in silver as well). I had a bunch of these guys in both scales but I especially loved the sculpt on this character; most GLT fans acknowledge him as a Chewbacca rip-off. I have a very distinct memory of playing with the 5 inch version of this guy on my grandfather's kitchen table, and being very aggravated because it would have been such an awesome figure if it had even basic articulation. So weirdly enough flash forward thirty something years and now I finally have a fully articulated version of this dude - wish I could somehow go back in time and give this to myself at that kitchen table - my 7 year old self would have %$#% his/my pants! But that would break too many rules of space/time continuity even if it were possible, so I digress. But score one for making your childhood dreams a reality anyway! YEAH!! The base of this custom is a Marvel Legends Werewolf By Night, fully re-sculpted, and a ML Frankenstein head that was re-sculpted with Aves fix-it and modded to be compatible with the Werewolf body. Not sure about where the base and the gun came from (the fodder bin!) but the base was dremeled down to resemble the original toy. Thanks for checking it out, good luck to the other contestants, until next time aloha my friends! ![]() |

Now that I am older, I once in awhile come across a picture or article about some long lost toy that I once had and it always put a smile on my face.
Thanks Hussapocalypse for putting a smile on my face...Nice job! Congrats!!!
Oh yeah, I believe the rifle if from TMNT's General Traag.
