Alrighty where to start, this is my second custom and I decided to go with a less common take on squirrel girl. I found some really nice images of this costume where she looks almost pinup style.
recipe:
legends mystique + lotsa sculpting
all of the fur and hair not including the tail were done with aves apoxie.
The tail required a lot of creativity to get the right look and size without the weight,
after trying about 15 different materials and getting nowhere, I thought to myself what if i used that green foamy stuff they use for like floral arrangements!?? so i picked some up from my local craft store and started carving. Once i had the right look I added about ten coats of mod podge to stiffen up the soft foam and it worked!!
I added the arm from an old starwars figure into the tail and mounted her on the figure and to my delight she completely kept her balance:)
the tail rotates and pivots and i also added 4 more points of articulation into the forearms and shins for a total of 33 points of articulation.
Paints like usual are a mix of citidel and tamiya's and the pouches are fodder.
Comments and criticism would be great .
On to the next :)

I know the tail is mounted a little high but it was the only way to retain full articulation, it would have interfered with the hip and thigh joints, in short it was a compromise and the 10-20 coats of mod podge has made the tail as hard as a rock ( I've dropped it several times and haven't had to do a single repair)
Thanks for the comments

I am not familiar with the character. I have heard of her but don't know much about her. Your idea for the tail was good. I have worked in floral before and I know that green stuff is rather light weight. Shouldn't her tail be coming out of her ass and not her back?
