KRABOOM!!!!!! That was the sound when Atum first entered the pages of Thor. Atum the God Eater is the son of Gaea and the Demiurge, making him the lesser known half-brother of Thor, although being the most powerful of Gaea's offspring and far exceeding his half brother in power. He single handedly destroyed nearly all of the elder gods and only a few escaped. Atum lives in the sun. He is immune to the heat, pressure and cosmic forces of the sun as well.He can fly at light-speed as well as generate intense light and heat. He is able to absorb the energies of gods and like creatures and thereby able to use their powers. The more he absorbs the more powerful he becomes. Atum is by leaps one of the most powerful characters of the whole Marvel Universe. Being much more powerful than the head of any godly pantheon. When Atum becomes the God Eater he transforms into a giant winged, grotesque creature know as the Demogorge. During the Skrull Invasion the Council of Godheads were called to meeting and the Heliopolis deities sent Atum. It was decided he would follow Hercules'God-Squad to the Skrull Pantheon. Here Atum dies attempting to swallow the Skrull god Sl'gur"t. Atum exploded because he had consumed too many multiple godheads and was unable to contain all of their energies.

The head on Atum was entirely custom sculpted to be comic accurate. Each face of the consumed gods was sculpted to have a unique appearance. The forearms and all of the veins were also sculpted after removing the chains I needed to get rid of those scrawny forearms. The pants were sanded down carefully to retain his original muscles. The wings were from an unknown dragon figure and had runic designs all over. After removing the designs I sanded and then resculpted the wings. The wings are attached with ball joints from a household item that I glued and then sculpted on and the texture resculpted to match the scales. I a sort of shorts on him from the original figure. So Atum retains some dignity instead of sporting his non anatomical Ken Doll pelvis. The energy effect was made using Hotglue and twisty ties. Copperhead is filling in for Seth and I added Mephisto in there to somewhat mimic the first appearance of Atum.
