I always wanted to have a Sandman in my collection, on a scale of 6 or 7 inches. However, the version of DC Direct has never pleased me. So, ever thought of creating a custom, but one could not imagine a good base to stay. With that, time passed, I was perfecting my techniques, until not long ago, I saw this recipe with a custom in FigureRealm. Hence the basis for being able to find and make my own Sandman was a leap.
I tried to include some of the elements present in the stories as the basis, which represents the Fiddlers Green, Matthew the Raven, accessories (mask, Ruby and Sandbag), and give the figure two pairs of hands in different positions.
I used Remy Sota SF, changing little with epoxy and painted with vinyl matt paints. The eyes, specifically, painted with glossy paint. The hair was modeled on the Powergirl DCU. The cloak is woven with glue droplets on different strategic locations, to trim to the ideal. The Fiddlers Green is the basis of Ripclaw McFarlane. The crow and Sandbag I did with epoxy, out of nowhere. The mask, which is interchangeable with the head without the mask was made with epoxy (on any one head, which most do not even remember what I used) and a piece of the backbone of a Dementor (Harry Potter Neca). I painted the mask with gray and eyes with Navy Blue Metallic. Finally, Ruby is a compass Jack Sparrow (POTC Neca) repainted red metallic

Blaynescott, I actually copied your idea to make this Sandman, with some differences that I added on my own. Thank you for your brilliant idea.
