I love Farscape! I believe it to be the best space opera since Empire Strikes Back! It had a small line of action figures from Season 1, Seasons 1 of course had the most bland costumes, and they were all as articulated as a rock. In my opinion the best costumes are in Season 3 of the series. Head - Cameron Mitchell: Stargate SG-1 Body - Movie Punisher: Marvel Legends Legs - Ultimate Captain America: Marvel Legends Winona(Pulse Pistol) - Aeryn Sun: Farscape Sculpting - Aves Apoxy Putty Paint - Tamiya: Coulours: Flat red mixed with Flat Black; Flat Flesh; Flat Black; Platinum Silver I started with Cameron's head, first I cut it off at the neck as it's ball jointed but Punisher is not. Then I resculpted Cameron's shocked look to John's more regular intense look, amazing what emotion you can get out of something as simple as eyebrows. I pulled apart Punisher's chest so I could repaint his arms, in all honesty this was a useless step but I did it anyway ;) Trimmed the sleeves of his T-Shirt, rescuplted and then repainted the whole arms. I reattatched his body using super glue then scultped the basic chest. Then resulpted the entire chest over 5 nights. I made a little stamp so I could remake the same socket/plug thingy on the vest ovr and over but I had to resculpt each one individually to make them sit just right. Removed half a centimetre off the left leg replaced bottom half of legs with Punisher Boots. had to remove pockets and replace the bottom of one of the boots. Cut off the holster of Punisher resculpted new holster covering the Pulse Pistol in tape so that it would fit right after painting and so it didn't get stuck in there. Painted the whole figure. There will be more pictures on my blog, I can't link it but it's thebalzan and it's at blogspot. ![]() |

Painting multiple layers with thinner applications of paint will produce better results. Also try using Vallejo acrylics. I find they're much more forgiving, and easier to mix/apply. I still use only Vallejo for the white of eyes, as Tamiya is either too diluted/runs, or too thick when applying to small detailed areas like a figures face.
Again, really cool design - just needs a good sanding and paint tuneup.
