Hey everyboby! been workin on this guy for a couple weeks, apocalypse is my all time favorite villian,and i have done a few of them,but none is his more classic look.This was a lobor of love for sure,and lots of labor! i love how he can alter his size and mass,and always loved when artists drew him alot bigger and almost hulked out, so i really tried to make this one as big and imposing as possible,with porportions thyat could only really make sense on a hulk or apocalypse type character.i dremmeled down the marvel select thing until i was covered in shredded plastic and until he ended up being a blank plain figure,and sculpted everything,new head, every muscle and armor pieces,the whole thing.it took me along time and many many sessions and layers upon layers of sculpt,its all aves apoxy,and a whole lot of it. the only fodder/non sculpt is the wire tubes,which are metal spring/coils with armature wire inside so you can bend the tubes to any position you want.the only part of this figure that is the actual base figure is the bottom of the boots and small potions of the sides of his boots.he does still retain the things articulation,but the one i got was very stiff so i loosened him up,i had to take the whole thing apart which is extremely difficult with the thing for some reason,shaved down all the parts to give him a slighly better range of motion.all peg holes filled too.i dont know why but when i saw the thing in the store i knew i had to make old blue lips out of it. lots of dry brushing to get a shadowed look to certain parts and to bring out his muscles etc.all aves and testors. the "metal" colored parts of him are high gloss but my camera sucks so you cant really tell too much of a difference.i also made some remains of the x-men to go with him,like he finally won and killed em all,I may make a defeated cable to go with it,since cable apparently is not a fan of apocalypse.I love accessories with figures!i took a pic with some other legends scale figures for size comparison,thanks for looking everyone,much appreciated!
