This character has undergone a bizarre transformation since its inception. M'Dhana started out as a StarRay and is possibly the last of its species as the rest of it species vanished from the cosmos leaving M'dhana alone and his will to search for them gained the attention of the Guardians. At some point rock like barnacles began to cover M'dhana and his mouth became an eye, and he seems to have sprouted legs with hoofed feet. As a fan of the character I have followed the progression though I am uncertain as to why these changes have come about as it seems to be artist discretion not writers explanation. I would assume it is the natural evolution of the species much like a caterpillar and a butterfly. So I want to make both versions and I have started with the earliest version and made the StarRay. I found an articulated manta ray toy at TRU (It has a 9 inch wing span is 8 inches long and just over a inch tall), and repainted it. I only have underbelly shots of M'dhanas early form or frontal shots none showed his back side so basing the coloration off of a few real manta ray pics I then added green and the symbols. Making it a very special to me as it came together. Fear not I am working on version2 but it is a little ways off from completion. But for now tell me what you think.
