With the new Green Lantern film just a few days away I wanted to try my hand at designing one of the thousands of Lanterns that populate the galaxy.
I bought the DC Universe Green Lantern Medphyll and carved a bit of his head off and mixed a compound of firm and regular sculpey to sculpt a new alien head along with using the neck guard of the Red Lantern Skallox to help the character process.
After painting with acrylics and sealant we have an alien that hails from an aquatic world where he guards and protects from those who seek out to destroy his people and his world.
I can't wait for this Lantern flick! Take care-REBNOR

Very Cool I am totally digging it. And this is another one that keeps drawing me back I totally love the concept it is amazing clean gorgeous paint and seems to have walked right out of the comic Great job bro, 3 thumbs up from the ferret and I am stealing both recipes but I doubt they will be as cool as yours

Most Excellent!
I never even thought about cutting off the logo section.
Why not cut off those lil' nubs on the back/trapezius areas, or painting them to match the head?
