The Dragonslayer This was going to be my submittal for the Armor Contest, but unfortunately I didn't make the deadline. This figure was inspired by the model "The Dragonslayer" created by Chris Clayton, who won gold medal and 'Best of Show' in 2010's Euro Militaire contest. From the moment I saw his model I knew I wanted to make a figure, and I thought the contest was a perfect excuse. He's a mix of man made armor plus dragon armor (for fire-proof protection). I decided to make him a static figure (my first) and I'm pretty happy with how he turned out. Decided to use only scrap parts so I grabbed some WWE legs and arms and an MK Johnny Cage torso from the bin and a headcast. Once constructed into my base, I sculpted every detail of this slayer using Apoxie Sculpt and Polymer Clay. I made casts of the skirted dragon armor plates (since I did not feel like sculpting 9 different plates. That's about it for this guy. Thanks for looking and Congrats to the winner of the contest! ![]() |

wow! those are some god-like sculpting talent man! at first I was in shock as I don't know that there was an official rathalos armor that was made by any manufacturers and I was thinking that you've customized an existing rathalos armor. but when I saw the WIPs. wow! you've just sculpted all of it!
I'm gonna save this pics of yours and replace my reference pics with it. I hope I can do my own rathalos armor someday.
great figure man! I love it!
