Brother Vail, a Gormogon from the planet Vox Space Sector 5, is a Memeber of the Order of the Gulided Flame. They are the gaurdians of the people. As a final test of their faith and comitment, members of the order sepnd one week deep in the sacred caves completely motionless in deep meditation. During this time the rock and stone of the cave grows over their bodies becoming a natural armor. As a symbol of hope he attracted the attention of Saint Walker and the Blue lantern Corps, and was chosen to join their ranks.

The figure was inspired by the Green Lantern Hannu, and I chose blue since it's a striking color and it's the one corps that is currently grossly under represented on my shelves. I thought of stone armor as an alternatnive to cytertech or tradtional steel armor. I sculpted all the stone elements and repainted. The symbol is hand painted and the sash is ribbon.

I would like to revist this figure and clean up his paint apps, but I ran out of time in order to get him in under the wire on the contest.
