Man-at-Arms (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:29432
Name:Man-at-Arms
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Masters of the Universe
Creator:Darththomas
Date Added:May 10, 2011
Base Figure:DCUC 5 pack Green Lantern
Height:6.00 inches
Continuing with my MOTU habit, it's Duncan AKA Man-At-Arms. A few shouts to make on this one, in no particular order, Pock63 for the lantern base, Bobtheodd for the armour and weapons and Zombieforhire for the Man-at-arms, cheers guys!!. I'd also like to thank all the people who have made this guy before me, Arez, vidmouse, madtinker and Crisco as I looked to the theirs for inspiration and ideas. Well after all that onto the recipe:

Base= DCUC five pack John Stewart green Lantern

Head = 200x man-at-arms - dremmeled to fit

Right arm = DCUC dr.midnight with 200x man-at-arms grafted on and sculpted to blend. Changed the shoulder disc for the GL one as the original was broken and wanted the green disc in there.

Left arm = Green Lantern up to elbow then Dr.M, 200x man-at-arms dremmeled out and sculpted to blend.

Lower right leg = Dr.Midnight for the brown joint, sculpted bindings and fur.

Lower left leg = DCUC Deathstroke for the orange joint, 200x man-at-arms armour and foot dremmeled the sculpted to blend.

Upper Left leg = Sculpted with a piece from the 200x man-at-arms.

Loin cloth = 200x man-at-arms

Armour = 200x man-at-arms, cut off bottoms of back piece to make it fit, then filled in gaps with foamy, wire and a bit of sculpt for the fur. The shoulder pad is attached via a twistie tie that is attached to the back piece of armour. I dremmeled a channel in the armour piece that the twistie would fit into then applied aves fixit over it to secure it. The shoulder pad does not hamper the articulation.

Painted with Games workshop paints and sealed with Vallejo Satin.

Plenty more MOTU still to come, let me know when you're getting bored coz I ain't hahahahahahaha

I am trying to finish up some of my marvel/dc/indy projects before I finish my motu. I want to spend my time practicing my skills to give them the best I can since they are my favorite babies. I may try to load up some of the wips on the wips section, still new to the site and trying to learn, so I will try to keep everyone informed. And I am close to breaking down and putting my heman on after a paint job, but my skeletor is way off still. I am like you and want to make everyone its just webstor, snakeface, and a few others from the 200x line I am unable to think of how to make properly. I look forward to seeing more motu from a master and will try to finish my hulk project I am working on. thanks.
