Ram-Man (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:29181
Name:Ram-Man
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Masters of the Universe
Creator:Darththomas
Date Added:April 29, 2011
Base Figure:DCUC Mongul
Height:8.00 inches
For this one I decided to use a little artistic license. I saw the picture of the supes and Mongul 2 pack and thought the scale was perfect. I originally planned to fatten him up a bit but whilst looking at past ram mans I was reminded of Madtinker's excellent ram man using an x3 juggs and thought he looked great all muscled up. So I decided to just go for a super ram man and I think I like this look better. Here's the recipe:

Base = DCUC Mongul

Head = 200x ram man - really wanted to make the helmet removable but didn't want to mess up my only head.

Neck = Sculpted over armour from Mongul.

Armour = 200x ram man

Arms = Resculpted Mongul's arms to hide the armour plates.

Hands = 200x ram man, popped straight in there no alterations.

Skirt and belt = 200x Ram man, sliced up to give individual pleats

Axes = 200x ram man axe, thought this one was way too small to be a decent weapon so it's now his sidearm. Big axe is an unknown head with a paintbrush handle sanded down to fit his hand.

Feet = Mongul with bumpy bits sanded off

All joints were sanded to prevent paint rub and the legs were stained with green sharpie.

Painted with Games Workshop paint and sealed with Vallejo Satin.

Dude this figure base is ingenious! I love your paints as well. I really feel you nailed down a great character concept for this guy. Sweet Ram-Man!

Yup, couldn't agree more, at first I thought I'd get away with adding a longer handle to the axe but even the axe's head is too small.......even for the original figure.

That's why I ditched that tiny axe when I did my custom, gave him a big hammer. Always seemed like a better weapon, given his smashing stuff theme.

great job as always, I like the take on Ram Man being more muscular. In my legends line I am working on (of MOTU) I was planning on using a hulk size figure instead of Kingpin so he can look more menacing and stay in scale better. When you are done with your work I would love to see all the figs together, you are making these for your own collection? thanks for the awesome inspiration and can't wait to see more.

*I really like this Ram-Man a lot. This is how he is suppose to look, more muscular and not fat. BAD AZZ!!!
