SO.... You can't amke a movie Captain America and NOT have a bad guyfor him to fight. I took Abin Sur and sculpted a higher cheekbone structure. Then I added some Aves all around to smooth the transition between Abin's noggin and my add-ons. I sculpted his arms into coat sleaves, since I'm no good at popping off parts--tho nobody I have had skinny 'coat'arms anyway. Next, I sculpted his 40's style miltary pants and jack-boots. I really wanted to have that fascist look to him. I cut some cloth to make his chest coat flaps. I originally was going to cover the whole torso, but changed my mind. I sculpted his coat collar and shirt collar and the cloth blends in really well with the look, I think. For the bottom of the trench coat, I went with a slight 'duster' flair, making the coat pieces separate and shaped to flow. I covered them in coats of black acrylic and this allows them to hold some poses. His belt and staps on his chest come from other figures, and his holster is a Dr. Doom accessory, glued on the back with the removable Luger ready to go. His Nazi armband is a piece of red cloth, with a piece of white cut into a circle, and the swastika painted on that. The armband is removable, in case you want a post WWII, strictly Hydra look. His belt buckle is sculpted into the Hydra head, though you probably can't see it too well here. Paints are Tamiya, various coats and dry brushing. I love how he came out--let me know what you think! -Fitz ![]() |
