Steampunk uses elements of machinery and science popular from the 19th Century. Considered to be an art form of fantasy based on science-fiction using technology envisioned through the Victorian age, Steampunk can be thought of as the future of the past. Sending Freddy back to this time period required a bit of research. It didn't need to be complex or complicated to make, but still had to have enough details to challenge any customizer with hours of fun. The head came from a Jeepers Creepers re-sculpted, and the base is a Capt. Hook figure. The Steampunk arm was built from scratch, using bitsNpieces to create pistons, rivets, steam valves and a pressure gauge. The killer fingertips and the left arm were cut from a FF Vincent Valentine to complete the look. Went with a gas mask (made from toy car parts) to give him even more of a Steampunk vibe. Kind of imagined that Freddy not only used the mask for breathing, but also enabled him to peep his dirty eyes into his victims sweet dreams. Gonna explore a whole new series of memorable (and some not so) scary dudes from horror movies that keep us up at nights. Some will be completely overhauled and others will finally get immortalized in plastic. So sit tight fellow gorehounds, get out yo' can o'whupazz and oh yes, there will be blood. ![]() |
