Base Figure:John Stewart

I made Green Man from John Stewart with Hal Jordan Lower arms and Steel head which was the perfect head for him. I felt like the standard dcuc body was to scrony for Green Man so I sculpted all the muscles, his neck, and a lot of his head. Then I gave him a full repaint. I bought some new paints and they are great! I highly recommend Velajo Acrylics! I painted the symbol by hand wich was a pain but I think it came out alright. I might ad the black ring around the edge of the white later. I liked this version of his costumes sense it's a bit different instead of just being another standard Green Lantern body. I'm really happy with how he came out! I hope you all like him. I'll be posting some group shots of my corps in the forums soon.

I would create my own Green Man but it would require finding the correct body and then repainting. My paint skills are average but I hate painting over joints.

Well have you looked into all the ways of preventing joint rub, such as dismantlement and grinding the disk and shoulder socket down, sealers, using glue as a cover, finding a base figure about the right color, dying the plastic with inks, or roughing up the surface so that paint will stick better. Between all of these I'm sure there's one that will make painting joints a little easier for you

I have to agree with Bob. The long neck is wrong for Green Man and while Green Man is buff he does not have the body builder abs. His abs are more like the wrestler Kane. Where you can tell he is strong but he isn't in the gym every day lifting weight constructs. And I would also think the square jaw does not fit Green Man either.

Thanks for the feedback and to each his own, I'm very pleased with my rendition of green man but if your not then by all means feel free to make your own I may shorten the neck slightly but I'm very pleased with the musculature on the body, this is sort of a classic style green man (:

He has to long of a neck and though he is ripped he still should seem a bit fatter. I am thinking more of a wrestler gut and no neck kind of look would make this one close but I am not 100% on how to do it my self with out taking someone like Sgt Slaugthers gut and putting the chest you have on top of that mixing the two and lowering the neck line. Colors and everything else seem to be perfect and I am not sure how I ant to do this one myself and is far better than any thing I would have made for him thus far if I had tried. SO you did great I am just not 100% behind this one cause something is not just quite right and I think that is the best I can explain it but I maybe wrong, too. Would have responded sooner but the dang 30 post a day problem has come up a bit too often for my taste

I like this one I like what you where trying for and what you did but I don't think it quite looks right but I am having difficulty coming up with a better formula than what you have done but I will attempt it soon then we can compare notes.
