I took my failed hearts of steel custom and totally overhauled it, going for articulation and realism. I decided the clean look was ridiculous for a victorian era train, all that coal, smoke and axle grease so I gave the figure a wash of black plasticoat with water, the joints are made from a probuilder (lego type brick) starscream from the armada era. The stacks on Ultra Magnus' helmet are chopstick tips. Decided to use the original head that was on the figure rather than a g1 as I couldnt find my spare U-M head yet.
the chansaw/sword is made from bionicle parts and painted with a black wash and antique gold, this is by far my favourite custom I've created.

All in all this took a week of planning and 2 days to glue, paint and sculpt parts.
