Misty Knight first appeared in Marvel Premiere #20 (January 1975). While serving with the NYPD Misty Knight lost her arm preventing a bomb attack. Tony Stark would provide her with a bionic arm that endowed her with superhuman strength. Combining that strength with her already formidable martial arts skills she became a hero for hire offering investigation and protection services.
