Well I had wanted to do this guy for a while but put the idea one back burner for a while then when I saw this contest it was perfect motivation. So I wondered how would they make this if it was an actual factory figure I wanted it to be slimey but solid and fully poseble so how to proceed first I dissasembled the figure which was not fun then the sculpting begins for the head just apoxie sculpt to get shape now I had to cover up all the rocks on it and shape slime so with my minature glue gun I slowly went up and down each part of the figure very slowly making sure to keep to its shape going a little wild with lines hear and thereic detailted specif but I wanted to keep the basic bulk of the muscles so tried not to go out of controll to much when that dried I smacked more apoxie overcertain areas where I wanted more detail same with head then I remembered I had extra slime pieces from ranius spawn ans some seaweed from the witch from legend figure so I grafted that on in certain places I wanted to hang and droop but did not want to loose any poseability so I chopped it up in to small pieces and cut and pasted it to get new shapes now the glob is made of slime seaweed and mud basic swamp nastyness so when painting him wanted him to stand out from swamp thing or man thing so after a base coat with black mixed up atleast 10 different shades of green with yellow and dry brushed away I went to prospect paer and looked at the marshy area for inspiration then I painted certain areas brown grey and tan to get that muddy feel especially under the drooping part of slime plus several black washes made sure he looked dirty finaly a little light green dry brush on outer seaweed for that contrast and some red for the eyes and there you have the glob for people unfamiliar with character he is a hulk villian there have been a few globs but main one is joe timms he was an escaped convict who drowned in the marshes of the everglades he just wanted to see his wife again oh well years later the hulk accidentally spilt radioactive waste in swamp and presto it mutates timms corpse with swamp and glob is born he had mistaken betty ross with wife and kidnapped here hulk went after him and actually was bested by glob since he was muck and slime hulk punches went right threw him but the glob realizes the radioactivity he and his swamp had could hurt betty so he let her go and went back to his swamp he has appeared several more times once with manthing they were being controlled some how that is the glob he retains all of his articulation but waist.
