He was a high monk from the Great Sea Temple. He is believed to be the physical avatar of the Great Whale Spirit, the keeper of the realm of emotions. Monks from the great sea temple are trained to be masters of their inner selves undergoing strict physical, intellectual and spiritual disciplines and in his case, was subjected to a more rigorous training to help him awaken the consciousness of the Great whale spirit living inside him.

He is one of the Keepers of the four corners, which are a consortium of very powerful magewarriors entrusted to protect the realms of the Elementalist, safeguarding peace all throughout the parallel worlds.
