Hey all! So, as your resident Irish Jedi I have been hard at work, practicing some more finely detailed sculpts. Today I have a TRON figure. Saw the flick, loved it; HATED the 8 inch line. The 8 inch line has GREAT sculpts and ball joints and then killed itself by blocking the joints. Luckily, Jin hooked us up and fixed one. I wanted to create figures in the 6 inch scale. so here's the recipe: Body: Movie Mr Fantastic Head one: Remy Sota Street Fighter Head TWO: Movie Mr Fantastic and a LOT of Aves The movie head is an accurate Mr Fan, but too big, so I cut it down and sculpted over it to get a TRON: EVOLUTION game style helmet for my Tron. For the unmasked head, I cut of all the hair from a Remy Street Fighter and resculpted it--it kinda looked like Bruce Boxlightner (okay, BARELY). Then I put a superthin coat of Aves all over the torso, arms, and legs and sculpted the bodysuit using a 3.75 Rinzler and still shots from the film and video game. Good thing I really like sculpting!! The discs are 3/8 metal washers painted up. To get the disc to attach to his back, I slid a washer on an MU Iron Man energy 'zap', since it's cone-shaped it till it got tight, then cut it to fit and glued it on his back. Then I sculpted OVER that, thinly. And that's it: TRON: GREATEST WARRIOR ON THE GRID. Comments/critiques welcome!! -Fitz ![]() |
