Back again with my third take on this custom figure of Christopher Reeve. This figure employs all of the same techniques building on the first and second version I did but this one actually has some sculpting on the boot tops and the crotch (your welcome ladies). The figure just seemed so unnatural with the DCU square box crotch and I had gone so far as to work down the original musculature that it just seemed like something was missing from the overall look.
Again, this uses the lower legs from the Mattel Superman/Batman 2-Pack from the head comes from the DC Direct New Krypton Superman (casted) and the body is a "sanded" down DCU superman buck. The cape as always is a pull through attached to the inside of the body.

I am having quite a time doing these. All in all they take an entire day I guess to produce each one, though if it weren't for waiting for paint to dry I could really roll these out. I am really digging my results I have been away from the hobby for a couple years I guess and have been jonesing for a project like this.

* I do intend to do a tutorial for these capes… dang near the entire figure… but I haven't successfully navigated my way to where to post those… That's ok though eh?
