1978 TV Spider Man (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:2660
Name:1978 TV Spider Man
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:Shinobitron
Date Added:May 16, 2007
Base Figure:First Apperence Spidey
Height:6.00 inches
Beleive it or not Spidery had a live action TV show back in 78. The spirit of Spider Man was ther but they kinna messed things up with TV flair. This Spidey had a utilty belt and an external web shooter, that actually shot string not webs Lol! The mask was pretty much the same as today except he had goggles over his eyes instead of mirrored lenses. I made mine with interchangeable heads and a removeable shooter and belt.

This is GREAT shin
I'm sorry abut the hard time I gave you over your TV David Banner custom - I'm just wanting the best for ya buddy
but you really nailed this one
Good use of Longshot for the unmasked head thats pretty close to Nicholas Hammond
I was thinking that a resculpt of a ML Captain Marvel head would be great too for 70s Nicky Hammond too
But this is really cool man - retro grooviness to the Nth

shinobi-san, I cannot tell you how great this custom is...you got the eyes very accurate and I totally dig this figure to the Nth degree. The web shooter and belt are right on too! I never missed an episode of that Spidey show. I remember watching this and saying...in the comics he had 2 web shooters! the orgin was pretty accurate for a tv series. I don't remember too much of the other story lines...or how J.Jonah looked or even if MJ was in the show...but I love the figure....Great job O' masterful custom warrior dude.

Excellent work! I've never seen this b4! I don't remember (well, I wasn't born yet I only saw re-runs) but his boots didn't have webbing? I really dig this!
