Wizards (1977)

Probably the most iconic character from Ralph Bakshi's animated film. I remember seeing this movie as a kid and was blown away, simply because there was blood in a cartoon! I recently viewed it and had to take a crack at this guy.

Head: Power Rangers RPM. Antenna was from a G.I. Joe backpack.
Hands: Kid cowboy figure I bought at the flea market
Torso/Arms: 2009 Playmates Star Trek figure
Hips/Legs: 1990's Playmates Star Trek figure
Boots: Missile Flyers Future Bishop

Once all of the parts were assembled, extensive sculpt work was done using Aves Apoxie sculpt. Thanks.

Was googling Ralph Bakshi and came across your stuff, incredible detail. I watched it out of curiosity after seeing Bakshi’s Lord of the Rings and researching Bakshi many years ago, but as I did not join the site until 2014 I have stumbled upon this randomly. Thanks very much. Yeah, I first saw Wizards as a kid in the 80s and rediscovered it as an adult. Got inspired to make this lot. Might have another go at them as sculptures.

I bow down to you lol. These would be great for any collector of post apocalyptic and pop culture figures. I had a book of fantasy art by various artists and there was a brand new painting of Peace in it by Bakshi. I wish he'd had made that sequel to Wizards he wanted to do.
