A story we are all pretty much familiar with, a young pregnant mother who is about to give birth is attacked and bitten by a vampire. The mother who between the transition of the living and the undead gives birth to the child forever altering that child’s genetic make up to that of a fabled Day-walker, a living being that has all a vampire’s power but none of their weaknesses and yet craves the blood of the living. Forsaking the taking of human lives, the child is taken and trained to be the first and last line of defense against the vampiric scourge that rules the night as Blade: Vampire Hunter.

This custom came about, as I was thinking what interesting character didn’t already have a female counterpart to make for this contest and I happened to be watching Blade: the series. The dim light bulb went off in my head and EUREKA, better yet it was October, a time for monsters and the like to come out and play so making this custom would feel more appropriate. So I started work on what Blade would look like with the switch of a chromosome.

I used the Wesley Snipes movie version as the template for this custom design. Male Blade’s muscular body became an athletic toned female body covered in silver tainted ink tattoos as to fry the skin of any vampire that would dare touch her. I cut down on the armor to give her more sex appeal and mobility. The lower body is a mix of fashion clubbing pants and military look with the metal kneepads and weapon holsters helping to add to that distinct look. The belt has one pouch and a silver chain attached to it for a hip look and as weapons. The boots are completely an ML X-23’s with silver spikes glued, not only do they work well with the body but the foot claws make good silver boot blades especially for a character like this who would have such hidden weapons. The left arm is ¾ gloved with silver spikes band around the upper arm, the right arm has a metal gauntlet on the forearm and a fishnet mesh glove covering ¾ of the arm that also includes a painted knife between two skulls tattoo. The head was fodder that needed to be sculpted bald with ears and then a sculpted Mohawk / high fade was added with a fodder ponytail, the eyes were painted to match the ML movie Blade’s eyes with silver eyeshadow and lipstick to add to the aspect of a female Blade.

WEAPONS & ACCESSORIES include: custom side pistol that fires silver tipped garlic rounds, shotgun, holy cross, wooden stake, silver stake, UV grenade, silver knife, movie Blade sword, weapons purse / bag, trench coat, and big face covering sunglasses like the girls are wearing nowadays.
This custom was made from: an HML White / Black Queen body, hands are a mix of HML W Queen and HML Elektra, XMC Gambit knees & lower legs, ML X-23 boots, ML series 4 Elektra head, fodder parts and some sculpting.
