The base for this figure was the Funny Knights Linkwood International version. The cape and hair are all sculpted, the cape turned out better than I had hoped and the hair isn't bad. The downside to sculpty is that you don't see the errors or problems until after you bake it. The yellow streak you see in her hair is a ribbon representing Lucius and the love she has for him. I also left some of the blue of the original figure's costume and the white of the sculpty unpainted to act as highlights, I'm not sure if it works as well as I'd hoped though. The left hand was ground down with the dremel and replaced with the claws from a Ripclaw figure, I had to reverse the order they're in since it was a right hand. The straps on the cloak/cape are zip ties except for one which didn't turn out well after being sculpted. She retains the removable top that the figure had in the first place but now it stays on thanks to the mods I've made. The I sculpted additions to the gauntlet of the left arm to make it a bit more interesting and look slightly more like the one that Vincent has in the FF7 main universe. The paints are a mix of craft paints and Game Workshop paints sealed with a coat of Game Color sealant. I intentionally left her skin with the uneven color, now gray instead of pale flesh, to show that in this universe she is slightly less human than her male version in the main universe. The gun is from my fodder bin as is the display base. This was the most paint intensive figure yet and if I'd had apoxy sculpt I would have done the painting differently by painting and then adding the newer layers of materials but I wasn't really able to do that this time sadly. I changed the colors so that it isn't all black anymore with the pants being a mix of black and red. I left the streaking and different colors in the paint because it had an interesting texture to me. The new gun is from The Corp toy line and the scope is cut off a revolver from a dollar store figure. Vincentia's life parallels Vincent's for the most part, both were Turks, both fell in love with the researcher working with their father. In the case of Vincentia the researcher was Lucient and later became the father of Sephiroth. Vincentia's taken by this universe's Hojo, pregnant with Sephiroth, and experiments on her turning her from a good natured fighter into a dark and brooding monster.Released from the tomb under Shinra mansion she joins Cloud and her team to fight Shinra and stop Sephiroth. In the post Meteor world she travels fighting the remains of the Shinra army that refused to surrender even under orders from Rusty Shinra (this world's Rufus). She has faced many battles and carries scars from them that Vincent never could have imagined. These include the loss of both her gun Cerberus and her left arm which is now a cybernetic replacement with a permanent claw where the gauntlet glove once was. She has donned this new outfit in reflection of the changes that she has undergone which includes a her cape which is a manifestation of her Chaos form. The gray splotchy discoloration on her lower body and torso is an adverse effect of exposure to Mako energy while investigating another underwater Shinra lab with a reactor that was overloading. It started at her feet and is working its way upward and outward onto her limbs. It seems to have little effect other than discoloring her skin so far. She recently joined Deep Ground in order to infiltrate them after proving to them she isn't the failure they were told. It is here that an alternate storyline to Dirge Of Cerberus will play out. I hope someone at least slightly likes this as I'm pretty happy with how it turned out even if it may get a new paint job in the future. ![]() |
