The Dark Knight (Batman) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:25048
Name:The Dark Knight
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Batman
Creator:mmdiego
Date Added:October 21, 2010
Base Figure:Wraal
Height:8.00 inches
Found a Wraal action figure who was missing his helmet and his sword. So I decided to make him into Batman because he already had the gauntlets and a really detailed cape. I painted parts of the Wraal Figure Silver which made him stand out more. I used a weapon from a generic batman I found at the flea market and repainted it black and silver. For the shield I used Megatron's shoe mode. I painted the shield black and silver and added a little bat that resembles the helmet he is wearing. The weapon and shield were hand sewn to fit into Batman's hands by my wife.
The utility belt was used from a ninja turtle I stole from my daughter. My wife then sewed parts from another belt onto it. I then repainted the belt yellow and black and dried brushed it to give it an older look. I cut the kilt down and made it look less like a skirt, I then painted the kilt and cape black. I then sanded down Wraal's head until it was a smooth as an egg, then it was painted black. I found the helmet from an old batman which was green, it was just repainted to fit the figure better. For the base I used a hot-wheels track that looked like a dragon, which I painted black, silver and white.

yeah the custom is great but I do agree you want it to stand out in the pictures not blend into the background

Hey thanks for the feedback GOLIATH, I've been working on him for awhile now. Yeah my wife helps me out a lot and I repay her by making her a custom of her favorite heros and villians. Also did you post up that maverick that you made using the same shoulder pads? I looked at some of your work and it looks very awesome.

Great imagination! I actually used that same shoulder pads he's got on for a Maverick I made back in the day, just retooled it to fit the look. But once again I love the originality of this custom.
P.S. you're on the right track, I too use my wife to help me out with the customs. If it wasn't for my wife I wouldn't be as good as I am now. The supprot system is the key to getting better.

From what I can tell, it looks pretty good. Might I suggest some pictures with a less busy background?
