Hey all,

So I've been working on an Arkham Asylum set since my first Arkham Bats and Harley. This Batman was a labor of love...and hate! Lol! I had to track dwon another Scorpion figure. I got lucky. I began using Aves to sculpt the cowl, chest plate, rib plates, stomach plates (ALL small little separate pieces-time-consuming!). I added sculpted gauntlets and forarm armor, boot armor and straps, utility belt and crotch plates, and thigh plates. After a few weeks (I was working the whole set simultaneously, and I still have my Air Force career, ya know!) I began painting after a matte black prime.

Several blues went into the figure. You can see the blues in there in the light and I think it looks okay. The under armor was dark gray and the plates have two separate grays and then flat aluminum is dry-brushed onto it to show the scratched 'metal'coming through. The cape is my usual technique of a huge piece of cloth that is folded and sealed to hold the folds. It collapses behind him ala how he walks through doors in the game, and also flares out like giant wings--and can hold that pose too. Custom sculpted a batarang. You'll see the rest fo the set soon. Critique away!! -Fitz
